Ears to the Ground Family is a minimal, totally acoustic group with guitar, hand percussion, and banjo. They have a serious focus on lyrical content and sometimes achieve a body-shivering vocal harmony. They make music of resistance to oppression and empire, of communities of hope, and of a faith that sustains. Their tunes draw from R&B, spiritual, soul, folk, Americana, chant, hip-hop, and jazz. Ears to the Ground Family have been fan-favorites at the Sing Me High Music Festival, and members of the group have featured on recordings of The Soil and The Seed Project.
The evening will also feature a special announcement and celebration of a new season in the life of The Soil and The Seed Project! We will celebrate what God has done and the work that God has set before us for the next several years. There will be a time of blessing as we celebrate the project’s transition from being a ministry of VMMissions to a distinct non-profit organization working in partnership with VMMissions and the broader church. Fall treats and cider will be provided. Come join us as both organizations celebrate God’s faithfulness together!
This is a FREE concert series; tickets / registration not needed. As it is an outdoor venue, we’d love to be able to contact those who plan to attend directly to update plans in the event of rain. We may also have little extras and behind-the-scenes opportunities throughout the series, and we’ll communicate those via these lists. Hope to see you there!
